Last week, the local “It Girls”—together with other celebrity close friends, Kapuso TV host Raymond Gutierrez, actress Carla Humphries, models Bea Soriano and Borgy Manotoc and celebrity chef-blogger Erwan Heussaff, among others—hogged the headlines for spoofing the hit pop song “Call Me Maybe.”



What’s now been pointed out, however, is the fact that the girls are wearing the same outfits they have on the video on the magazine cover photo, which now has made a few Netizens wonder if it’s all just been a promo of sorts for their appearance on the mag.

Nevertheless, countless web junkies have clearly enjoyed the video of the gorgeous friends as they showed off their silly side their sexy ensembles while crazily dancing to the tune of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit.

The five girls enthusiastically shared the link of their video on Twitter.  Since it was posted on May 21, the video has so far generated 900,000 views on YouTube.

A video with a similar concept, featuring young superstars Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Tisdale, with their friends, went viral earlier this year. It now has nearly 40 million hits on YouTube.

Other much-talked about magazine covers in the country that were unveiled for this month were of actress Kaye Abad’s daring cover for FHM Philippines, soul siren Nina’s Playboy cover and of Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz for Esquire Philippines.

Other celebs who made it to this months glossies were Sarah Geronimo in a haute couture outfit for Mega Magazine, fierce Marian Rivera for Meg, the chic cover of Kim Chiu for Cosmopolitan and Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski’s airport-shot cover for Metro magazine.
